Subject: CMMRF - - - 2023 Research Update, CMMRF Month, and Donor Recognition Program
Good afternoon, Good morning CMMRF State Chairmen,
- I recently received Dr. Murphy's research update for January 2023. Please find it attached to this communication. The big item this year is the $2.4 million grant to pursue PAD research with veterans. Dr. Murphy indicated that the two top areas to discuss this year are the Peripheral Arterial Disease and the Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. I understand that we CMMRF representatives usually get at most about 10 minutes to present CMMRF so familiarize yourself with the information contained within this update so that you can make best use of our limited time.
- At its January 11th Board Meeting, the Trustees elected to promote a CMMRF Month during the month of March. The goal is to have each Council contribute $100.00 to CMMRF. Attached is an image for your use to promote this initiative. You can expect to hear more about this as we get closer, so consider this a preview of that which is coming.
- Also attached is the updated Donor Recognition Program information. You will note that we have turned away from using an amethyst stone to represent fifteen diamond stones and returned to one synthetic diamond stone for each thousand dollars. We have collaborated with our service provider to develop a pin scheme flexible to accomodate the needed stones.
Warm fraternal regards,
Gary Wyne
Executive Secretary.
